ASVAB INTERPRETATION: Tuesday, November 30th, from 7:45—9:30. For the 150 students who took the ASVAB TEST on Tues., Oct. 19th, it is NOW time to interpret your score to determine your strengths and weaknesses as they relate to ‘20’ different Career Categories. As I said to all of you immediately before the test, it is absolutely useless to take this test for Career Assessment, if you don’t interpret your score in terms of College Majors and Career Options. Remember, the way we do this test here at Chatsworth is exclusively focused on Career Assessment. As you already know, you are absolutely free of any obligation to consider the military as a post-secondary option or to talk to a recruiter. I don’t want you to consider your score as anything other than a very helpful point of clarification or revelation of the ‘life-work’ you should consider pursuing in College while you prepare for the Profession or Career you choose.

There are now many jobs available for students who are willing to persevere through the application process, both on line and by picking up apps. at the job site. Many of the new jobs are for 18 year old students, but a sufficient number are for 16-17 year old students. Don't be discouraged if it takes a while and don't be afraid to go back and ask again after many previous attempts. They will notice your perseverance and desire to work in their establishment. If you need help with applications, see Mr. Pina in A-10 or A-11 and I'll help you complete the process. In some cases we may add a resume to your application. Thanks, and see you in the Career Center.
